Master of Applied Finance (MAppFin)/Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance (PGDAppFin) -Apply Before 22 nd May 2010
Introduction ::
Department of Finance of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, offers the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Finance and the Master of Applied Finance.
Students are normally admitted first into the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Finance and will gain the Diploma after successfully completing all the courses listed in first year. Those students who complete the Diploma level courses will be eligible to do further nine courses listed in second year and to complete Master of Applied Finance degree. Candidates who are admitted to the course for the degree of MAppFin be eligible for the award of a Diploma in Applied Finance or a MAppFin but not both. Candidates who fail in MAppFin courses shall be eligible for the award of the Diploma only. Eventually, PGDAppFin will be awarded for those who complete the PGDAppFin.
Admission requirements::
A Bachelor's Degree with a major in Finance,Economics,Accounting or Management from a well recognized University with a First Class or Second Class Upper/Lower division pass
Or
A Bachelor's Degreein any subject area from a recognized University with two years post qualifying experince in an executive capacity in finance sector.
Or
Professional qualification from a recognized institute .CFA(USA),CIMA(UK),CIB(UK) ,ICASL , etc with two years post qualifying experince in an Executive capacity or a full membership of such an institute.

Applications Forms and program details can be obtained from the Deputy Registrar,Faculty of Graduate Studies,University of Sri Jayawardenepura,in person or by post.Those who wish to obtain the application form and program details by post could be so by sending a self addressed stamped envelope 10"* 12" in size to the Deputy Registrar,Faculty of Graduate Studies,University of Sri Jayawardenepura,Gangodawila,Nugegoda. Please obtain the application forms (the application fee is Rs 1000/=) annd the paying vouchers (with the indication of course code) from the faculty office.Completed application form with the paying vouchers (indicating the cource code given by the Faculty of Graduate Studies)should be submited to the Deputy Registrar,Faculty of Graduate Studies,University of Sri Jayawardenepura,Gangodawila,Nugegoda. on or before 22 nd May 2010

MappFin Rs-165,000/=
in addition, library fee,examination fee and registration fee should be payable at the time of registration
