Applications are invited for the Master's programme in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) to be conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of English (PGIE),The Open University Of Sri Lanka.
Entry Requirements ::
All applicants are required to have
1. A Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language from a recognized university.
or
2. A four -year Bachelor's Degree in English and/or English Language teaching
or
3. A three-year Bachelor's Degree with English as a subject and at least two years experience in English LanguageTeaching
or
4. A Bachelor's Degree in the English Medium and at least three years experience in English LanguageTeaching
or
5. Any other qualification acceptable to the senate of the ousl
Entry Test ::
All applicants will be required to sit an Entry Test.Only those who pass the Entry Test will be permitted to register for the MA in TESL -2010/2011
An entry Test will be conducted on Friday 11 th June 2010 at the examination center specified in the Admission Card issued together with the application form.

An Application Form could be obtained by calling over personally to the PGIE,3 rd Floor,Faculty of Education,OUSL,Nawala,Nugegoda. and submitting a Deposit Slip indicating the Payment of Rs 1000/= (in cash) credited to A/C No 174-100-156-838310,People's Bank,Nugegoda.
The Applicant's name and National Identity Card No Should be indicated clearly on the Deposit Slip (Both Copies )
The Payment of the application fee of Rs:1000/= could be made at any major branch of the People's Bank.
A limited number of Application forms will be issued on a first-come-first -served basis from 10 th May 2010 to 21 st May 2010 between 9.30 a.m and 3.30 p.m on any weekday except public holidays.
The Duly Completed Application Form Should be forwarded to the
Assistant Registrar,Post Graduate Institute of English,The Open University of Sri Lanka,P.O Box 21,Nawala,Nugegoda. by Registered Post to reach her on or before 26 th May 2010.
